Greenspoint Real Estate

The Greenspoint District is a rapidly growing corridor in north Houston, in the heart of some of the fastest growing communities in Harris County. Ideally situated at the Interstate 45 and Beltway 8 intersection, Greenspoint District is anchored by Greenspoint Mall, one of the largest malls in Texas, and was developed for Houstonians seeking moderately priced homes in Aldine ISD close to the North Freeway.

Greenspoint District takes its name from the shopping mall at its thriving business and commercial center. The opening of Bush Intercontinental Airport in 1969 transformed the intersection of I 45 and the Beltway into a major commercial crossroads.

The subsequent rapid development of office space around the mall provided the jobs to support massive apartment and condominium construction, which now dominates much of the landscape. The real estate bust of the last decade produced significant deterioration in those complexes, and led to the creation of a management district which has helped revitalized the area.

While single-family residential stock has not kept up with apartment development, a resurgence of interest in the area, has contributed to a significant increase in home development in nearby Aldine. The income for a family in Greenspoint District is around $80,000.
