A key Houston connector, Barker Cypress Road is a 12-mile-long highway linking Interstate 10 near Katy to Northwest Highway (Hwy 290) where it terminates three miles outside Cypress. Closer to the Katy end of Barker Cypress is Barkers Branch subdivision. Located on Barker Cypress Road, 1 mile north of I-10. Housing options range from the small and modest to larger more pricey estates. The community is conveniently located directly across the street from a public driving range and three minutes from Pine Forest Country Club.
Farther north, closer to Hwy 290, stands Grand Oaks subdivision offering 5 new homebuilders and plenty of models to choose from. This community is located on Clay Road between Fry Street and Barker Cypress. A small lake is in one of the new home sections with home sites available for building on-site. A community swimming pool and playground are also to be found here.
Coles Crossing is a 1,200-acre multi-use master-planned community located at the intersection of Barker Cypress Road and Hwy 290. Located in the heart of one of the fastest-growing areas in the Houston region the strategic corner offers the only major commercial site in this part of northwest Harris County. Opened in 1998, Coles Crossing is planned for 2,400 single-family households. The price range for housing in Cole's Crossing has been expanded and includes everything from the $120's to over $500's.
